Beastie Boys Say Damn The Man!

The Beastie Boys say their hit single “Sabotage” was actually about an annoying studio engineer.
In their new memoir Beastie Boys Book, Adam Horovitz says engineer Mario Caldato would “blow a fuse” over the Boys’ indecisiveness in the studio. Horovitz “decided it would be funny” to write a song about Caldato “sabotaging our great works of art”.
The story is read by SNL alum Tim Meadows for the celebrity-filled audiobook version of Beastie Boys Book which will be out soon.
What did you think ‘Sabotage’ was about? Did you even think it was about anything?
